The folks are Rona were amazing this past weekend! I had a very small plumbing job that became a much bigger plumbing job! They helped me every step of the way. Dan explained how to fix the first part of the dumpster fire issue. The next day Alex explained how to fix the bigger issue. I really appreciate both of these guys! And Amanda and Felicia on the till are always awesome!
The customer service here has always been hit or miss, but having had more good experiences than bad I continued to be a customer -until today.
I purchased an item that broke on the very first use (used correctly and as intended - not an “oops, I broke it” situation). I think most people would say that item is defective, or at least unsatisfactory.
I was denied a refund or exchange because they “can’t put a broken item back in the shelf”. Well, I should say not.
Save your time and money and go to Canadian Tire. The selection isn’t as good but the prices and customer service are better.
Two issue one is the Camrose location mixed paint for the colour grand piano ( dark dark dark almost black) the paint attendant did not put the colour on the lid and when we got home the colour was a very light grey. Annoying yes. End of the world no. The second issue comes not from the direct store itself but from the brand of paint they carry as their "house brand" paint. Sico paint is the worst paint I have ever used and do not recommend it to anyone. It does not apply well and takes forever to dry, needs multiple coats and when it is final dry it runs off any time you wash the walls. With a two year old and two teenagers I assure you my walls need to be cleaned and this paint does not hold up at all.
Allan at the sales desk seemed inconvenienced and rude about helping us to find a stove. We only wanted to be shown one and he wasn't helpful at all we walked out because of his smugness
Good selection for a small town hardware store.
We stopped in to pick up some plumbing stuff today for a bathroom renovation we are doing at home … Alex happened to come down the isle and asked us if we needed a hand. I have never in my life run into such a knowledgeable, helpful, and kind person in a hardware store, let alone a retail store, in my whole life. Thank you very much Alex for all your help and information … we very much appreciated your time.
The store itself is well stocked, but watch out for the yard workers. We went in to pick up a special order item. The yard manager and one worker loaded it and damaged the vehicle. I pointed it out to the manager and he basically just shrugged it off. I tried several times over a few weeks to find out if they were going to pay for damages. Nothing. So with this said, they have lost all the rest of the business we were giving them for the new house over $200 damage.
